If you have just a few guitars you would like to make, you will not want to invest in a complicated and expensive fret slotting system that are available from several luthier supply houses. Also, cutting frets in a miterbox is a real pain and the chances of getting fret slots off just slightly are high.
The Fret Miter Box Plans will give you the details you need to build your own highly accurate fret miter box and can be used for just a few guitars or for building dozens of them. Just construct the base jig, add the slot reinforcement and build the different scale you need and you are set to go.
