This guitar is the very first guitar that I had when I was 12 years old. This is a great guitar for you to begin your guitar building going as it is relatively simple to construct and is a great primer for more difficult project. Just because we say it is a beginner guitar, don't think that it is a light-weight though. With the Seymour Duncan Classic Alnico V Pickup, this guitar will give you the warm vintage sound that the Melody was known for when it was introduced during the Golden Era at the end of the 1950's.
