Grand Classical 3D CNC Files

General Information:

These 3D Files were constructed from our Grand Classical Guitar Plans and 2D CNC files that we have in the plan section of our site. We have a total of 10 different guitars you can build from these files, including Classic Guitar #1 through #5 in both 650mm and 660mm scales. Bracing patterns are Ramirez, Kasha, Torres, Bouchet and Kasha 2. You will find that these files will provide a top level of convenience to customers who possess a CNC router, or access to CNC routing services.

Each file is a separate file, so you can mix and match pieces from one guitar to another. For instance you could select the Ramirez Top Bracing, Grand Classic 4-Brace set, 660 mm neck and 660mm fretboard to make a complete guitar. Once you have a complete set you could add another top bracing and you will have a completely different classical guitar.

Note that all hardware including tuners, frets, purfling, bindings, screws, tail block, sides and side braces are not a part of these files and are shown for illustration purposes.

All these 3D CNC files are formatted in STEP format (Standard for the Exchange of Product Data). Most 3D CNC controller software should handle this popular formatting. STL files available upon request.

The available files are detailed below:

Grand Classic Top and Top Bracing Set:

The top plate is contoured to the proper shape complete with soundhole. Complete top brace set is provided complete with scalloping and rounding contours. Bridge plate and soundhole reinforcing, if applicable, is also provided. Note: Top plate does not include any geometry for bindings, purfling or rosette trim. There are 5 bracing patterns available for the top sets and they can be used for both the 650mm and 660mm scale guitars.

Grand Classic Back and Back Bracing Set:

The back plate is included with the proper contour. Braces are totally shaped and back seam reinforcement is included. Note: Back plate does not contain any geometry for bindings or purflings. There are 2 choices available for these files. The standard 4-brace set and the Kasha 2 set.

Grand Classic Neck Set:

This file will give you a smooth 3D file of the neck contour, heel contour, foot and headblock, complete peg head contour, with peghead slots, string ramps, and tuner holes.  Also included is the headpiece trim. This neck is available in both 650mm and 660mm scale options.

Another option is the blocked neck, which includes everything noted above without the contoured headpiece and there is no headpiece trim. These necks are also available in 650mm and 660mm versions.

Grand Classic Fretboard:

This file will contain the proper fretboard outline perimeter, and fret slots for the proper scale. (.023"; .58mm wide). Fret tops and tangs are included only for clarity as separate layers, but not included with the files. Fretboards are available in both 650mm and 660mm scales.

Grand Classic Bridge:

This file includes the proper bridge for our Grand Classic Plans. It includes tie block trim, slot for saddle and string holes.
