    • General Information:

Robert Bouchet started out his life as a artist, painting in the impressionist style and taught painting in Paris for many years. He took up lutherie rather late in life to satisfy his interest in guitar playing. He was largely self-taught and he sought out a sound that was uniquely his own and developed a unique top bracing pattern.

It is thought that Bouchet was the first luthier to develop the "Bridge Brace", which is a brace that runs under the bridge saddle. He used this brace to control the sound and helped stabilize the top directly under the bridge.

This plan features a 660mm scale and typical grand concert shape. Popular woods used for this model are Rosewood back and sides, Spanish Cedar top and Cuban Mahogany neck with ebony center strip lamination.
