Ukulele Form Inserts

General Information:

One of the first and most important steps a luthier should complete is an accurate set of guitar forms for each ukulele shape that is intended to built. Our 3D CNC files for each Ukulele Form Inserts are designed directly from the 2D files of our design drawings, assuring you of their accuracy.

Form files will be available for each ukulele shape series that we offer. Note that many guitar shapes are shared with several ukulele plans, such as the V-brace and Kasha braced models.

If an instrument has a option for a Venetian Style cutaway shown on the plan drawings, the cutaway version will be included in the 3D CNC file for that particular instrument. Please note that Florentine Cutaways are not included in these files as you would use the standard shape form insert and then use our Florentine Cutaway Bender to for thje wood for this cutaway.

Note that all hardware including, bolts, knobs , and all other metal parts, are not a part of these files and are shown for illustration purposes.

All these 3D CNC files are formatted in STL format (Stereolithography) Most 3D CNC controller software should handle this popular formatting. Check with your software provider if you are unsure of this.
