MAKE SELECTION FROM DROP DOWN MENU BELOW
This guitar features a 000-28 (triple "O") body, which is smaller than the standard dreadnought and orchestra shapes but bigger than traditional parlor guitar shapes. This plan also features scalloped bracing for both the X-braces and the (2) tone braces located behind the bridge. Also the scale matches Martin's original specs of 24.9" with a 1 3/4" nut width.
If you wish to match vintage specs for this model, the traditional top, back and sides was East Indian Rosewood (Brazilian Rosewood befor the ban). This guitar matches many of the features of the D28 manufactured prior to WW2 and is offen referred to as the Standard Orchestra Model. You will find though, this guitar when equipped with a quality Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood, Walnut or Maple back and sides, it will hold its own with any guitar produced today.
Add to that wood bindings, careful construction and you will have an incredible sounding guitar.
With its medium sized body, this instrument will be comfortable for players of all physical statures. With the neck joining the body at the 14th fret, it will allow you to reach the upper registers without the need for a cutaway.
