These 3D Files were constructed from specs of the Martin D28 Dreadnought. These files will give you the option to select either a tenon joint or dovetail joint at the guitar head block. The appropriate head block is included with each neck. Note: These files can be used with our popular Dreadnought Guitar Plans or the V-Brace version Dreadnought V-Brace Guitar Plans. The files included here also include the Dreadnought V-Brace set of top and braces.

One Piece Neck w/Martin headpiece configuration and diamond neck shape on back of neck cut to shape of Dreadnought Body.

Fretboard 16” (406.40 mm) Radius. 6.0 mm thick at center. Fret slots for Medium/Medium fretwire.

All these 3D CNC files are formatted in STL format (Stereolithography) Most 3D CNC controller software should handle this popular formatting. Check with your software provider if you are unsure of this.

This file will give you a smooth 3D file of the neck contour, heel contour, mortise and tenon joint attachment to the headblock, complete peg head contour, tuner holes, bushing recesses, truss rod channel and access in the head block. Also included is the head block for the tenon joint. This option contains (2) Files.

This file will contain the proper fretboard outline perimeter, fretboard radius (16") fretboard recesses for the MOP Inlays and fret slots for the proper scale. (.023"; .58mm wide). This option contain (4) files.

c. M.O.P Inlays
d. Headpiece
This file contains the V-Brace set of the V-braces, bridge plates and The Dreadnought top plate w/soundhole. All brace intersections are already cut for you so once you run them on your CNC they can immediately be glued in-place and with some minor smoothing the top will be finished.
This file contains the Classic Dreadnought Belly Bridge, complete with side ramps, saddle channel and saddle, bridge pin hole and recesses.
